Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

Anam Chemistry Care ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

To provide coaching services and manage student accounts, we collect:

  • Personal details: student name, phone, address, guardian contacts
  • Academic details: class, batch, roll number, school/college info
  • Attendance, exam results, and fee records
  • Login information for the student portal (username and hashed password)
  • Basic technical logs (browser, device type) for security

2. How we use your information

  • Manage admissions, batches, attendance, and fees
  • Send exam results, notices, and payment reminders (SMS/portal)
  • Share study materials with the right batches
  • Improve teaching and internal operations
  • Meet legal or safety obligations

3. Sharing your information

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with:

  • The student's parent/guardian, when relevant
  • SMS gateway providers (for delivering messages)
  • Authorities, when required by law

4. Data security

Passwords are stored using strong one-way hashing (bcrypt). We restrict access to student data to authorised staff only. Even so, no online system is 100% secure; you agree to keep your portal password confidential.

5. Cookies & sessions

We use HTTP session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics cookies for tracking across the web.

6. Data retention

We keep student records for as long as the student is enrolled and for a reasonable period afterwards for academic history and legal recordkeeping. You may request deletion of your data at any time; some records may be retained where required by law.

7. Children's privacy

Our services are used by school and college students, often below 18. We assume parental consent for anyone enrolled by a guardian. Guardians may request access to, correction of, or removal of their child's data.

8. Your choices

  • Request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Correct any inaccurate details
  • Ask us to delete your data (subject to legal limits)
  • Opt out of non-essential SMS communications

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
